Richard’s portraiture is heavily influenced by his love of Surrealism and Dali in particular. He started his career as a freelance press photographer with The Times in 1998 where his style led him away from hard news to features and portraits.

Richard’s intimate portraits of notable figures in the world of performing arts includes musicians, composers, conductors and singers.

Twice winner of Feature Photographer of the Year Award his portraits are regularly seen on magazine front covers and photographic driven features.
Richard’s portraiture has been exhibited in several galleries including London’s National Portrait Gallery
